Music, time, space and sociality make the PARTY deeply different from a normal concert.
During the PARTY, people can shape their own individual experience:
they can choose what to attend or not, they can change place, talk, drink, eat, listen, ignore.
Above all, they can share on another scale their musical experience.
The aim is to encourage the collective aspect of the music performance, and also to change and improve the concentration on listening – both by expanding the time frame and by creating the conditions for a higher individual freedom and for communication.
The PARTY’s duration is about 5 to 8 hours, it can be longer and last more than one day.
Drinks and food are available. Different set ups are provided: couches, chairs, mattresses, club tables, places to stand,
to move, to dance etc.
The aim of the PARTY’s time schedule is a careful balance between music experience and socialization, exchange.
The audience is turned into a more active and conscious group of individuals.
Musicians themselves are part of the crowd.
A concert is short and narrow,
the PARTY is long and open.
In a concert we are stuck to our chair,
in the PARTY we are free to move and change.
In a concert we are divided,
in the PARTY we are together.
In a concert we are dry and hungry,
in the PARTY we drink and eat.
In a concert we are alone with our thoughts,
in the PARTY we share thoughts and feelings.
